Before the day is over, and to welcome all of you who might have just signed up for email updates today, let me say a quick and simple thank you to everyone who came to the Protest in the Park today. The crowd was estimated to be around 1000 people, all engaged and eager to find out more. With these numbers and this passion, we will prevail! Many thanks go out to the organisers and speakers. Stay tuned for a more thorough report, including pictures, once we all recover a bit. Also, please be sure to see our post asking for volunteers and give what help you can, so we can keep up this great momentum you all have given us today. Thanks again!

Many thanks to all those who put the event together today. It was so heartening to see so many people out there. It’s a lot of work and is really appreciated by all of us. I feel quite optimistic that we as a community can defeat this ridiculous road.
Somewhere down the track I also hope we see Penny Behan as the elected Member for Moggill……….

Oh Jules - I have to answer and say I am happy being a mum and safety advocate and can’t wait to go back to my life without this stress. I believe people are seeing what this Kenmore Bypass proposal is really all about - a freight route from the Cunningham and Warrego to Centenary Highways. I agree we can and must win this fight for all the suburbs it will destroy!

Many thanks to all who helped organise the picnic on Sunday. It was a great gathering.

I found it interesting the other day when my son (he is 8) said ” Dr Flegg must be an alien and needs the pollution to keep alive - there can be no other reason to want this road”.

Kids of Kenmore are concerned that the animals they love and the grounds they play on are going to be destroyed. How come it is so clear to them that we need to preserve our green spaces and PLAN, when the supposed experts cannot see beyond the band-aid solutions.

Let’s listen to the kids, it’s their future after all!
