HI HAS anyone sent courier mail seven news the “De Wit DE BARCLE”. This is big news and she should be exposed as should BCC for allowing her to blackmail a fantastic volunteer organization as Neighborhood watch. Just ring local govt journalist at courier mail and send in a copy of the letter and further entries from concerned constituents.

I think Barbara may have a point here. The councillor has done sonething highly questionable here. If the cap fits then she should wear it; there won’t be any crocodile tears from her if we go down and that’s for sure.

Barbara: There was a story in the Courier-Mail on Tuesday this week and Radio 4BC certainly asked the question – how could Cr Margaret de Wit threaten a local community group in such a way? Unfortunately it seems as though the TV channels and other newspapers didn’t see letter she wrote to Neighbourhood Watch or surely they would have told the story too. You can always phone up yourself and tell them how badly a Brisbane city councillor acted and treated people who elected her.

Take the opportunity to write to the Lord Mayor and high light the issue.

There should be a really big deal being made about this. I hope when this fight to save Kenmore is won…or lost, that we stick together and boot out Cr de Witt and Bruce Flegg. They both have let us all down so badly and this latest incident regarding the Neighborhood Watch letter just shows the level of utter mediocrity (maybe “mediocrity” is being too generous) we’ve been accepting in our neck of the woods for way too long. Ronan Lee (ALP), Michael Johnson (Libs) and the Greens are at least listening and doing their best to stop this madness. Maintain the rage folks and let’s demand local politicians that actually do represent our views at the next election.

I wrote to the Courier Mail – because although they have shown little interest in the past, I felt the letter from Margaret de Wit would spark their interest – not so it would seem….the silence from the Courier Mail is deafening! Is there somebody there with a vested interest?? I cannot think of any other reason for them failiing to publicise this issue.
