Thanks for posting the segment of Ronan Lee speaking at the community meeting following the very successful ‘walk the corridor’ event. It’s a relief to hear a polititian with very sensible ideas, looking at the bigger picture of where we need to be going in the future, not sticking to old ways of building roads just because we can.

We need the bridge at Moggill/ Bellbowrie for so many other good reasons. All the nurses that come to care for my very disabled husband are in favour of it. There have been many times when through staff shortages & sickness that we get dropped of the end of the line, simply because they do not have the ability to travel the distance. A bridge would decrease the travelling time and allow Blue Care to service so many more clients. This has very serious ramifications for the baby boomers like myself who want to stay in our homes for as long as possible.

The majority of people that live in my area want the bridge and can’t like myself understand why it has never been built. Emergency services take at times up to an hour to get out here. Many people would use the train especially to the city and Ipswich if they were given the opportunity. It is also far cheaper then driving your car. A very real consideration in these economically difficult times.

In short the Moggill/ Bellbowrie/Anstead area need infrastrucure now that will actually make a difference not just 2- 6 minutes at peak hour. and cost far less.

Interesting Dr. Flegg is continuing to campaign for 60 kmph speed limit in residential area of Bellbowrie, which by the way I completely agree with.

However at the meeting on the footpath outside Kenmore South State School on Saturday morning at 7.30 am with alot of concerned & anxious residents he never offered to help us get the speed limit reduced to 60 kmph from 80 kmph. In fact he never offered to do anything to help us. The Kenmore Bypass bysects our community cutting it in half.

Just another example of Dr. Flegg NOT representing, helping & supporting the residents of Kenmore. The no condifence vote put to Dr. Flegg the Member for Moggill electorate by the local residents aprox 100-150 people was unnanimous. When will the LNP management do something about this abominable abuse of power?

I asked the task force if they realised that platypus lived in Moggill creek at the site of the proposed bridge crossing. They replied that this was no longer the case as it was salt water! I understood that the Moggill creek catchment group have seen platypus there quite recently! Are you able to pursue this as I do believe platypus still do live there and will be annihilated by this proposal. The task force needs to see that they are wrong on this.
