From Sarah Atkins: Hi everyone, I made [my] eleventh hour video about the Kenmore Bypass and my backyard. I know the deadline has passed for community feedback, but I think we can and should still keep campaigning.

I would like to film another video with interested people (and dogs) on Saturday morning. If you would like to be in the video (walking your dog and talking to friends and neighbours) please turn up in the off-leash area at the Peace, harmony and Freedom sign at 10am on Saturday.

I want to film a stunt where there is a lot of “human and canine traffic” I’ll explain more on Saturday.

Cheers,
Sarah
(This fight aint over!
Freedom reigns supreme!)

(Admin note: Sarah Atkins submitted this as a comment but to give it more visibility I’m turning it into a post.)

Love your video Sarah and the sentiments behind it. Good on you.

How about a video we can take the issue that is troubling all of us so much to the world via U-tube?

Realise we are a relatively small community in suburban Australia but if we could come up with short creative video that was either a) emotive or b)zany but with a message or c) both, then maybe we could take the fight to another level.

It’s not just about getting wider exposure for the campaign, it’s also about receiving input from others worldwide who have been in similar circumstances. You never know what a pool of lateral thinkers can do.

Maybe people elsewhere would watch the video and answer our call for help in getting Main Roads to see the futility and the gross expense of their present plans.

It needs to be something a bit different to get attention on U-Tube

What do all think?

Susan,

Great idea, maximum exposure, but may need a PR slant which as you say, can capture attention.

Is there anyone out there with any Media PR experience that could assist?

Peter
