YOU CAN HELP SAVE OUR KOALAS!
September is Save Our Koalas Month. A PEACEFUL Community Rally will be held on Friday 25th September. The aim of the rally is to send a message to the Government that it must act to Save Our Koalas in South East Queensland by protecting koala habitat.
- Meet in Brisbane Square at 11.00 a.m. (In front of the Casino)
- Rally begins at 12 noon
- March along George Street, down Adelaide Street, along Edward Street and turn into George Street towards Parliament House.
Many community groups and organizations with particular concerns about the threat to our Koalas will be participating. Each group will be identified with banners and placards. Children are welcome. SAVE OUR SUBURBS, KENMORE TO KARALEE, WILL BE JOINING THE RALLY. The koala population in the Western Suburbs will be destroyed if the Kenmore Bypass and the extension to the Warrego Highway goes ahead.
