I am from Moggill and I consider the proposed Kenmore Bypass Stage 1 and 2 to be a massive threat to our quality of life. It is a ridiculous plan and I find it hard to understand why it has gone this far. I’m staggered that people out here in the western suburbs know very little about this plan, I’m not sure if they are just getting over the aborted Ipswich Motorway and Western Bypass and they just can’t take in and understand that this is more serious than both of those proposals put together. It is a very devious thing to do to us after what we have already been through. This will wreck the quite ambience of the west, pollute our bodies and homes, destroy the environment, further contribute to global warming and if you don’t care about anything other than the dollar it will devalue our properties considerably.
To those of you who venture out this weekend to the Brookfield show take some time to visit Save our Kenmore community group stand, it may be the only opportunity you get to find out what is really going on in regards to the governments latest plan for a Western Bypass or Ipswich Motorway. Do it before it’s to late otherwise we are going to get a whopping great freeway through all our suburbs.
