From Philip Machanick:
West Brisbane Greens will be running a last meeting for 2008, to catch everyone before the school break and summer takes everyone to the beaches etc.
This time we are moving across the border to Bellbowrie, to get a wider group into the discussion of alternatives.
Everyone in Kenmore interested in the bypass and alternatives to fixing Moggill Road is obviously welcome to attend. Please also ask friends and relatives in other areas to show up.
I hope we see as many of you as can make it.
Details: 7pm Wednesday 10 December, Bellbowrie Community Church, 3077 Moggill Road.

Thanks to those from Kenmore who showed up. We had a good discussion between Kenmore and Bellbowrie people.
I’ve meanwhile been preselected by the West Brisbane Greens to run for Moggill. Although I am not a medical doctor (I am the computer science kind), I hope some of you will be looking for a new doctor, who doesn’t do bypasses.
I will be going for coffee to the Plum Cafe in Kenmore Plaza on Saturday afternoon (13 December), 3pm. If any of you are in the neighbourhood and would like to drop in for a coffee and chat, feel free to do so. I’ll bring my clipboard and blank paper to take notes on issues you think are important. Not just the bypass: let’s think about all the things we can do to make our suburbs more liveable, and better planned for the long term.
Fred
Good on you Phillip. Good to see someone wants to represent us, meet with us at a respectable time of the day and more importantly listen to our ideas. I am glad to hear you had a meeting in Bellbowrie and the concensus was that the Kenmore Bypass is not the solution to traffic congestion! Well done all!
