Clean Up Australia Day is on Sunday 1st March this year. Atkinson and Kingfisher Parks are now a registered clean up site.
Meeting point is Atkinson Park on Sunset road from 10 am until noon. Look for the Clean Up Australia Day signs. This a great way to help show community pride in our beautiful parks and do something really positive for the environment which is in our backyards.
Clean Up Australia has provided kits including garbage bags, gloves etc and a skip for large articles and rubbish bags when finished.
Everyone intending on volunteering needs to wear appropriate footwear and clothing. Don’t forget the sunscreen, hats and water.

CLEAN UP AUSTRALIA DAY - THIS SUNDAY 1ST MARCH 10.00-12.00
Join your fellow Australians all across Australia on Sunday. We all have one thing in common, the love of our country and how unique it is.
Looks like we are going to have a good turn out, Kenmore South State School have advertised it for us. They are so inspired that they have now orgainized their own Clean Up At School WELL DONE.
Many hands make light work, the more that help the quicker we can clean up. Join us afterwards for a cold drink and nibbles and chat. Some people are bringing a picnic and chairs for afterwards and the kids can have a play on the park equipment and basketball court.
There is a BBQ if any one wants to fire it up for some snags. We will be set up at the sheltered picnic table and registration of all participating is necessary for insurance.
Don’t forget to wear appropriate clothing covered in shoes, sunhat and sunscreen. I hope you all have a great time.
